Tom talked to us and showed us a range of different toys from the past. We talked about the materials they were made from and how they were made. Next we had a group task to sort a selection of toys into new and old.
We made our own musical compositions about the theme 'toys'. One person in each group was the composer and told us when to play.
We made different sized wheels and attached them in different ways to see which would be the best to use to make a roly poly toy.
We completed a set of challenges about 2D and 3D shapes using an interactive website. We also made 3D shapes using Clixi. Finally we had to match the 3D shapes to the correct net.
First we designed our own character to fit with our World Book Day theme. Next we added a background. Then we created sequences of movements and actions for our characters using the control blocks.
