We have been finding out about the city of Edinburgh that is the capital of Scotland. First we watched a video about Barnaby Bear's visit to Edinburgh. Then we made some notes about what we had found out. Next we worked in teams to put together a presentation to encourage people to visit Edinburgh. Finally we made a video of our performances using the iPads.
We had a visit by PC Graeme Davison and PCSO Sarah Fallows to talk to us about being safe when using online technology. We know not to give away our personal information.
Year 2 visited Shildon Railway Museum today. They saw Sans Pareil the locomotive that took part in the Rainhill Trials. They also had the opportunity to handle objects linked to the railways. Everyone completed a craft activity making their own steam locomotive. In the afternoon we explored the different types of trains in the museum.
