We used the 2 Paint a Picture graphics program to create a rainforest picture. We thought about all the different kinds of plants that would live there. We explored different tools and effects.
Our new topic is called Jungle Life. We will be finding out about rainforests and the plants & animals that live there. We will be studying Brazil as it has a large area of Amazon Rainforest. Brazil is famous for carnivals so we had a carnival to start our topic. We danced and played instruments to some lively samba music.
Year 1 and Year 2 joined up for a paired reading session. They read to each other and talked about books. Some children also chose a library book to share.
Today we came to school dressed as superheroes to raise money for our charity Tiny Lives. Some ladies from the charity came to our assembly and explained how the charity helps the babies. Baby Noah came as well dressed in his superhero costume.
Rev. Capstick brought 10 things on a tray that we had to try and remember. He took away an item at a time and we had to say what was removed. He explained what each item had to do with the Easter Story.
