Key Stage 1 performed their Summer Play to members of the local community. It was all about a seed being planted and how it grew. All the animals were amazed when lots of sunflowers appeared in the field of grass.
We visited Preston Park Museum and explored the Street of Victorian shops such as the drawers, confectioners, chemist, printers and the blacksmith.
We used Carroll diagrams to sort and organise shapes, coins, numbers and food choices.
We planted some cress seeds in an investigation to see if light is needed for seeds to grow. We kept our test fair by using the same amount of compost, seeds and water in each pot. We put some pots in the cupboard and left some out in the light.
We have been reading different types of scales when measuring capacity and temperature.
